1. Princible, Teachers, and Students
1. Do you think it is better to have school uniforms or not?
2. If we get uniforms, do you think students would follow the dress code?
3. Would it help students concentrate more on school?

Akins High School student Marley Santizo practices for a run in the courtyard that she will do downtown in July. It's May and so she only has two more months to get ready.

Marley Santizo runs to second period after the warning bell with a fear of being late. Santizo has never been late and doesn't plan on it today.

10th grader Marley Santizo knows about the long lines at lunch and since today is Asian she sprints to the cafeteria. Santizo agreed that the lunch isn't the best but it's better than the other choices.

do you manage all your time?
I try to put equal amount of time in everything.

you in any extracurricular activities? If so, what?
Yes, I am a Cheerleader.

often do you go to tutoring?
I don't go to tutoring.

is your favorite subject? Why?
History because it is easy to learn.

does being Student of The Month feel?
Good because there are lot of other deserving students at this school.

Yes because of the positive recognition you get.

I am going to Stephen F. Austin state university.

Front Pages of the World
- What is your favorite newspaper front page? Why? Daily News New York, because there is not many words but big pictures on the cover which makes me want to read the inside
- What is your favorite headline from that newspaper? Why are you interested in it? Casual Killers because it goes well with the story of the brothers involved in the Boston bombing
- How many stories are on the front page of your favorite? Just one, which is about the Boston bombing
- What do you notice that all newspaper front pages have in common? Look at design, size of photos, size of story text, etc.They all have pictures and the main story on the cover and the page of where you can read more about it on the bottom of the article
- What are things that vary (or are different) on the front pages of different newspapers? Look at design, size of photos, size of headlines, etc. There is a headline, pictures, captions, the issue, how much it is, the title of the magazine, and the date it was out and it is all different on each of the magazines
